Pirates are second in Group C below Egyptian giants, Ahl Ahly after three matches, and victory against the Ivorian team in Soweto on Saturday will strengthen their position.
After six matches, only the two top teams in each of the four groups will advance to the knockout stages of the continent's premier club competition.
