Kandawgyi Park (center of Yangon)
Kandawgyi Park is undoubtedly the most beautiful park in Yangon in Burma.Some people say that its bridge is much longer than the famous U-bein Bridge in the outskirts of Mandalay, which one wants to believe so much Is long. The tour of the lake is about 8 kilometers and there is a zoo not far away. The location is magnificent and ideal for taking pictures: for its monks, the bridge itself, the water lilies that cover the lake, Water by hundreds, the crows in the distance that constantly chatter and seem to be the kings in this country ... and its Karaweik, an imposing replica of a golden royal barge on the eastern shore.
We meet here many monks, often very young and who easily lend themselves to picturesque scenes. Arriving in Yangon we soon realize that the monks of Burma are one step ahead of the image In the West. Now we see them wearing glasses in hand, sometimes accompanied by women. The younger monks who train in the park do not hesitate to beg for money, whereas we are used to believe In the West that it is forbidden to them.
Anyway this park is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places of the city, and its visit can take hours ... to do absolutely !!!
