Flat pack furniture is easy to design and build using a CNC machine. In this video we will look at using Fusion 360 to create a flat pack stool or in our case a plant stand for outdoor use. We initially look at stool designs, purchasing a design, and starting from scratch with Fusion 360 to create a flat pack design. Using 3/4 inch plywood and a 1/4 inch spiral downcut but we can create a repeatable and scalable design. With the aid of custom metrics we can scale the plant stand to any dimension to use a quarter sheet or half sheet of plywood with some simple changes. This is an easy design for beginners of the CAD software as well as the CNC machine.
