Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah recently made a statement regarding the execution of late terrorist Afzal Guru and said that the execution (Afzal) served no purpose has sparked a controversial row.
Speaking on the same, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said, “The recent statement of the main alliance partner of INDIA alliance of the Congress party, their old family friend and former CM of J&K, Omar Abdullah, is definitely nothing but is a clear cut expose of their nefarious, nasty, separatist anti national design. When Omar Abdullah says that Afzal Guru's case was not fit for hanging, I would like to ask Congress that were the investigating agencies working your regime wrong. Has the Supreme Court of India during the UPA government given a wrong judgment? I would like to remind the people of the country that in the judgment on the Parliament attack, SC used the word that this was a rare of the rarest crime... So whether the SC was wrong or the President of India... This is the same party which has given in its manifesto that they will restore Article 370 and Farooq Abdullah, the senior leader of the same party said in October 2020 that they will restore 370 with the help of China... Congress is showing their real nefarious design through proxy. They cannot shed their responsibility by saying their personal statement because Rahul Gandhi was present there giving moral support to those who were chanting 'Afzal ham sharminda hai, tere katil zinda hai'.
