Tardis now rendered out, and keyed to the work so far.
Much more FX to come for this first part of the sequence.. was thinking of having lightning bolts flying out of the orbs. Needs some small explosions too. The light on top of the tardis will slowly flash in the final piece.
Once I begin to compile the various sections of the sequence in a few weeks time I'll also be adding the usual camera imperfections, dust, chromatic aberrations etc.

PLEASE share the link to this video on facebook/twitter so others can enjoy it, as "word of mouth" is the only way my work gets passed around the net. I have no sponsors, no money or loan for advertising, no employer, just you lovely people who watch and enjoy.
It's up to YOU, the fans, to share the link to this video with your friends in your blogs, facebook, tweets etc to get it out there! Mortgage loan my home on VFX work aka make a living from doing this would be ideal one day. Lol youtube life insurance.
I have taken as many aspects of the various historical Who intro sequences and wrapped it into one, the aim of which to be a bit more cohesive than the official version. My aim was to take the viewer on a trip through space and time, from the 60's to the modern day, without throwing in too much just for the sake of it.
Many thanks go to my youtube subscribers, who have helped refine some aspects of the sequence as I have worked my way through it these past loan 7 weeks, posting updates as I go. Thanks guys :-) Your mortgaged input has been invaluable.

Now for some boring small print..
Please DO NOT re-upload this video in part, or in whole anywhere else on the web. This includes butchering it into your own fan art, regardless of "crediting" me or not. Youtube Content ID will pull it down and place a copyright warning against your account within 48 hours, and I'd hate to see genuine mistakes by people who dont understand copyright mean peoples accounts blocked and barred from opening a new one.
Linking to it or posting the link on websites, YouTube comments etc is absolutely fine though.
Basically, don't re-upload my work elsewhere (such as your own fan art). Like most artist, music, visual or otherwise, a lot of time, passion, wine tips and hard work goes into creating this for public release, (and while I am aware of the irony that I am expanding upon the BBC's Doctor Who), I make this and other works with the sole intention of providing entertainment for others and a god-forsaken quest for a career in VFX and getting a mortgage loan to buy my own home with a loan eventually. The least you could do is not steal it, right?

Software used primarily Newtec Lightwave 3D 10, Adobe After Effects and Trapcode, Photoshop and a jpeg image compiler among others.
Time for a break for a few weeks now until I figure out what to spend my time on next, and you can bet your ass it will be better than this.
And finally, a polite request. I get several emails a day from individuals (admittedly mainly children) who want me to remake the intro especially for them, with names changed, logos, etc and offering to "credit me". Please be advised that I do not give away my work in that manner, and obviously such a request entails many days of work.
If you have a commercial request (paying for my services) then please submit a detailed quotation request via my website.
YouTube Content ID is in operation on all of my visual artwork.
