Jay's Brutal Doom version is a quick sneak-peak of that what we are going to get with original Brutal Doom v20 by SgtMarkIV. In his version of Brutal Doom, we can see upcoming changes like new death animations for zombies, but also his own ideas like reworked Doom 64 shotgun, heatseeking missiles for Rocket Launcher, new mechanics for Plasma Rifle which instead of clip can overheat and afaik hurt you a bit, voxels for your items, custom HUD, combo system and many more changes. To get things more interesting I've also downloaded a Doom:ONE addon that merges all of the levels in played episode. So, instead of playing all the original levels in the old way, it's like in Quake II hub system, where we can go back to the previous level whenever we want.

As a quick note:
- Use G to throw grenades. They are fantastic against smaller enemies and their splash damage is huge.

The levels architecture got slightly changed and there are even TWO cyberdemons in Nuclear Plant waiting for you to explore. There is also a Plasma Rifle for you to use, few new enemies and two new short stages which add a nice feeling to this fantastic addon.
Game was played with Ultimate Doom, Jay's Brutal Doom v20, Doom:ONE, smoothdoom and automaticrifle WADs. All of these addons are available in links below.
Brutal Doom v20 is the newest available version of Brutal Doom mod for the Ultimate Doom, Doom II Hell On Earth and both Final Doom installments (TNT + Plutonia). Brutal Doom v20 was also supposed to be released with a Starter Pack that introduces 30 new maps to play, probably set during the events of Ultimate Doom and Doom II Hell on Earth. There are some interesting changes in this version, mostly akimbo Assault and Plasma Rifles, some changed textures for weapons, new Chaingunner skin and so on. Brutal Doom v20 is a creation of SgtMarkIV and other minor authors, mod has been in production since 2010 and it's the most known Doom mod in history. There are some rumours that a new Doom installment in production from Bethesda, has been heavily influenced by Brutal Doom.
In development since 2010, the 18th Cacoward winner and Moddb 2012 MOTY Editors Choice of Creativity Award Brütal Doom takes Doom into a whole new level. It makes the game much more violent than before. There's much more blood, plus it adds unique gibs, death animations, dismemberments, headshots, executions, fire and explosion particles, flares, shadows over all objects, and much more.
Everything in Brutal Doom is extremely intense. Everything sounds louder, looks bigger, moves faster, and hits harder. You can even fell the impact of explosions. Your weapons have been upgraded to a deadly arsenal, completely throwing the vanilla Doom's "progressive weapon system" through the window. Every weapon is powerful and have it's pros and cons, and a weapon will never be outclassed when you find a new weapon. You have new abilities too. With any weapon selected, you can press Q (default bind) to kick enemies at close range and send them away. Press F (default bind) to taunt enemy players, and Z or X (default binds) to wave to other players in cooperative modes.
