On November 21, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, former defense minister Yoav Gallant, and Hamas leader Ibrahim Al-Masri, accusing them of war crimes and crimes against humanity in the Gaza conflict. The ICC charges Netanyahu and Gallant with crimes such as murder, persecution, and using starvation as a weapon of war, linked to their role in a "widespread and systematic attack" on Gaza's civilian population. Netanyahu condemned the warrant as "antisemitic," comparing it to a modern-day Dreyfus trial, and Israel rejected the ICC’s jurisdiction, denying any war crimes. The United States also opposed the decision, citing its non-membership in the court. Meanwhile, Hamas welcomed the warrants, while protests erupted in Israel, with some calling for Netanyahu's trial. The 13-month Israeli military campaign in Gaza has led to significant casualties, with 44,000 Palestinians reported dead.
