The Kogi state Government says it has uncovered plans by some unscrupulous elements to paint Governor Yahaya Bello in bad light ahead the 2023 General elections.
The desperate move,the state Commissioner for information Kingsley Fanwo at a news conference in Abuja said is surrounding speculations on alleged plans by Governor Bello to contest the 2023 Presidential elections.
He Indicated that the move may have unsettled some major political actors,hence the plan to initiate smear campaign against the Governor on allegation of state funds embezzlement.
Fanwo further disclosed intelligence report on persons behind the conspiracy as well as clarified on Gov. Bello's position regarding the 2023 presidency.
The Commissioner also used the opportunity to reel out several achievements of the Kogi state Governor with security top on the agenda.
