I put in I put in 16 cups of water, in the deck mud, which equals 64 fluid Oz, which equals two gallons, or 2 quarts. Then I mixed one more cup of water, and this is why it was the right consistency it was a little dry. I had put in a total of 17 cups of water, and the directions called for 2.7 quarts so I was in there and the mixture was good.
