At the time of this video, this USB microscope is selling at $60 on Amazon Prime, which is a lot less expensive than the Celestron. While it doesn't feel as sturdy as the Celestron, nor has as large a stage, I think this is a better price point for students who need a USB microscope with a body that allows the head to be raised and lowered like a regular microscope. While there are still cheaper models of USB microscopes out there, you generally have to use a gooseneck that needs to be manually adjusted, which is difficult to do precisely.
Downsides besides the smaller stage is the highly reflective texture on the stage. Poor choice on the manufacturer's part, but not that big a deal if you put a piece of paper down.
Also, as a plus, this device is wifi enabled, although I didn't use it. I said in the video that you need to purchase apps - they are actually free. Apparently the + and - buttons on the front of the microscope are focus buttons, but they did not work on my computer. Amazon reviews suggest they work when wifi enabled on a phone or tablet. The Celestron is manually focused as well, so I don't think this is a plus or minus for either of them.
