They all started somewhere. Some were natural, some weren't, some chose to master one outlet, some chose multiple. Some actually almost gave up, but knew they couldn't. All of them were driven to where they are today by an unerring love of music and the communal euphoria it brings.

Every now and then we open the doors of Clash Studios and invite a couple of people down to play with our toys, and as we were recently gifted a beautiful new Pioneer DJ x Off White DDJ-1000-OW, we thought we'd get a couple of our favourite DJs in and have them do what they do best; hit the decks and share their stories.

Jess Bays is a familiar face on these channels. A chart-topping remixer for the likes of Rudimental and Becky Hill, Jess has been a featured cover artist on five of Spotify’s leading dance music playlists. A Resident DJ for Defected, Jess has performed on the festival circuit in the UK and all around the world; a former Clash on Rinse FM radio host, she’s now the radio host of Capital Dance every Sunday.

With a finger on the industry pulse, Jess shares her journey to becoming one of the most gifted track selectors and spinners in the game.
