Jaipur (Rajasthan) May 8 (ANI) : Due to rapid surge in COVID cases in the state, Rajasthan Government has announced a statewide lockdown from May 10 to May 24. As per the order, marriages will be only allowed after May 31. Any function related to a wedding will not be permitted till May 31. Court wedding and small wedding at home with not more than 11 attendants will be permitted. There have been cases of workers getting infected in rural areas, in view of this, MNREGA work will be postponed. The Rural Development Department will issue detailed guidelines in this regard.All types of religious places will remain closed. And people are requested to offer prayers and carry out religious activities at home during lockdown. The medical department will issue a separate guideline regarding the attendant for the care of hospitalised COVID-19 patients. It will be mandatory for travellers coming from outside the state to submit the RT-PCR negative test report conducted within 72 hours. If a passenger does not submit a negative test report, it will be quarantined for 15 days. (KP)
