I'm a mixed media artist and I like to try new things. mixed media image transfers are not new but I've never tried them. My artwork is not the typical mixed media you may be thinking of. I use fabric mosaic with acrylic painting and they are large. But since I've been working on smaller artwork I wanted to try this technique and see if I can incorporate it into my work. Especially with words or pieces of words.
In this video I try transferring a toner image over a painted wood panel and a canvas panel. I can't imagine doing this on a stretched canvas. I had to rub so hard to get the paper off.
Most of my small work is on Wood panel board and I like to include positive thoughts in my work. So give it a try. It's fun.
