"They are the tip of the spear of our nation," Patrick Murphy, under secretary of the U.S. Army, said. "They keep our families safe at home. To be with them was just a great experience."
Under Secretary of the Army Patrick Murphy visited Fort Riley Sept. 20. During his visit, he conducted physical training with Soldiers, attended a Soldier's Medal award ceremony, observed training and conducted a town hall with Soldiers where they could ask questions and voice concerns regarding the current state of the Army.
