In Q1 we had our first “Round the table” presented by OBI. The first topic was “Sustainability at the Workplace”, and we had an open discussion on creating a more sustainable workplace. We invited the sustainability representatives of 10 different companies to speak about their current situation, what they have been doing and what they have planned in future to become more sustainable as a business.

We had 4 main topics:

- Energy efficiency and carbon reduction within the workplace
- The cost to your business of implementing sustainable strategies
- Helping team members reduce their carbon emissions on your travel to work
- Sustainable development goals

We spend approximately 20 minutes on each topic where everyone could share their experience and talk about examples of what has worked for them and what hasn’t.

Our host Alan Stenson, CEO of the Neutral Carbon Zone did a fantastic job leading the Round Table. His expertise and knowledge in the Sustainability Sector is immense and he gave us great examples of changes he suggested for his clients, that have made a big impact on their sustainability measurements and worked successfully.

We could all tell that there was a lot of passion in the room, and we all had the same goal – educating and helping one another to find ways to become more sustainable.
