In this video, I present 253 bugs/issues with Dark Deception v1.9.6. Please be aware, some of the ones shown in the video might not be bugs/issues and may be intentional design choices, such as the Chef Monkey lacking its own unique effects which was mentioned in the video here: 38:58
Also, this isn't a complete compilation of all bugs. There are still probably bugs that I don't know about, and there are some bugs which I do know about but they were too situational or hardware dependent for me to reproduce and capture footage. A few of these include: a game crash in Crazy Carnevil, a game crash in Torment Therapy. and a softlock where you can run out of lives but the game over menu doesn't display. Also a lot of Chapter 4's Steam achievements don't work.
I use the terms "softlock" and "hardlock" often in my video. Here are my definitions for them:
Softlock: The game still runs and you can still freely move around but cannot progress with the level due to a sequence break. An example would be getting stuck in a hole or a door/gate staying locked when it's supposed to open.
Hardlock: The game still runs but you are unable to move or do anything. An example would be pausing the game but then not being able to unpause the game. If the game freezes, I would consider that a game crash rather than a hardlock.
UPDATE: After double-checking what a hardlock really is, it turns out that my definition was very wrong... whoops! I guess everything that I classed as a hardlock would still actually just be a softlock.
At the end of the video, some stats about all the bugs/issues in the video are shown. This was only made for fun and isn't supposed to be taken seriously. The rankings I gave don't really mean anything. Also, after uploading this video, I re-counted the stats and I noticed that I got them wrong, but probably not by much.
Please be aware, this video was made with positive intentions. I know it doesn't make the game look good, but it's important for these bugs to be addressed so they can hopefully be fixed, which would create a more pleasurable experience for everyone.
At 12:22 in the video, I mentioned a Gold Watcher variant known as a "fake" Watcher. They are new additions in Chapter 4 and look identical to normal Gold Watchers, but they behave slightly differently. I actually didn't know about them until I watched this video: [ Ссылка ]
As mentioned in the disclaimer, I used the v1.9.6 Steam edition of this game for all clips shown in the video.
All footage was recorded using NVIDIA ShadowPlay.
Video edited with MS PowerPoint and Shotcut.
UPDATE 2: What I say at 1:16:45 is wrong. The tablet only turns invisible if you skip the cutscene too quickly. It has nothing to do with whether it's toggled or not.
