Peterhansel would land six straight Dakar wins for the Japanese brand, sealing Ténéré's name in the record books. and launches hundreds of thousands of riders into the daydream of exploring far-flung lands on two wheels.

The first point to note on the new bike is definitely the new metallic paint which features retro-style graphics along the side of the fuel tank. With a silver speed block and fluo pink stripes on a solid blue base, the Ténéré 700 World Rally pays homage to Yamaha's many wins in the world's toughest races.
If you've ever experienced a 690cc two-cylinder CP2 engine with a 270° crank, you'll understand why this is one of Yamaha's most successful units. There's strong linear torque that makes it an effective and controllable off-road performer and its great fuel economy along with compact dimensions and low weight make it the ideal adventure powerhouse. The slip-on Akrapovič exhaust highlights the very special character of the 270-degree crank CP2 engine and features exclusive best-in-class engine equipment.
The 2-section design of the seat allows for easy removal of the back to allow for the installation of accessories such as shelves or luggage. Its flat profile allows you to move it back and forth with minimal effort while transferring your weight. The dual side-mounted 23-liter fuel tanks are located low in the chassis, the top of the tanks being significantly lower than in the Ténéré 700 to provide easy rider mobility.
Another standout addition is the 43mm KYB fork which is fully adjustable and offers a hefty 230mm of travel. The rear shock is also upgraded from the stock Ténéré 700s, with a piggyback item providing 220mm of travel. For added peace of mind when riding on rough terrain at high speeds, Yamaha has included an Ohlins steering damper with 18-click adjustment and a revised flat 2-section rally seat.
The 5-inch color TFT display offers a contemporary digital design, analog display, and roadbook-style screen display with trip meter. 3-mode switchable ABS gives you the option to decide exactly how you want your bike to behave on different surfaces.
