The resolution of the Rajasthan government that 'no one sleeps hungry' is being realised through the 'Indira Rasoi Yojana'. Under 'Indira Rasoi Yojana', adequate, tasty and nutritious food is being provided to the people for only 8 rupees. The scheme was launched by the chief minister Ashok Gehlot in urban areas on August 20, 2020, with a resolution that no one should sleep hungry in the state. Today, 951 'Indira Rasoi' are being operated across Rajasthan, in which 8 crore 40 lakh people have benefitted so far. 'Indira Rasoi' serves lunch from 9 am to 3 pm, while dinner is served from 5 pm to 9 pm. The daily menu is also changed in the kitchen on a regular basis. Along with this, quality and cleanliness are being maintained. Rs 250 crore is spent annually by the state government on the 'Indira Rasoi Yojana'. Commoners and special people both enjoy the food at 'Indira Rasoi'. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot also had food at 'Indira Rasoi' along with his family. Undoubtedly, 'Indira Rasoi Yojana' is helpful in providing sufficient food to the people.
