Kenya Airways has set October the 28th of this year as the date for the inaugural direct flight to New York from Nairobi.
The ultra long-haul flight, which will take at least 14 hours, will be done using the airline's emerging workhorse, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner.
Alex Mwangi has more details about the launch of the new destination which KQ's Chairman, Michael Joseph, has termed as a symbol of the comeback of the airline.
