The second run of the Southern Railway 401 on Sunday, September 19, 2010 was under threatening skies but the temperature was cool enough that the plume from the stack was readily seen. Then, the fireman hit the valve and sent some more used motor oil into the former coal-burning engine and mosquitoes across the north side of town died. Trains into town operated push-pull style between the museum's restored Wabash depot and its Camp Creek Yard a couple of miles north and east. The engine debuted at the Monticello Railway Museum's Railroad Days the weekend of Sept. 18-19.
