During Trip #1 of 2018, our 34th consecutive field season, we deployed our first Ecological Acoustic Recorders (E.A.R.) in the Bahamas. Thanks to a partnership with colleague Dr. Marc Lammers and his team at Oceanwide Science, this equipment will record and store data, then researchers can look at how often certain species of cetaceans go by, and what signals they produced.
