Crystal Palace co-owner John Textor is pushing his bid to buy Everton and is now thought to be the front runner to buy Farhad Moshiri’s majority shareholding.
Textor told The Athletic over the weekend that he would be interested in buying the Merseyside club and that he was trying to sell his stake in Palace, which he would need to do in order to take over another Premier League club.
777 Partners proposed acquisition of Everton is unlikely to happen, with the agreement between the group and Moshiri expected to end without completion on Friday.
It's likely an agreement with MSP, who have already invested in the club, and Moshiri would fund the club short term until Textor (pictured below) is in a position to complete the purchase.
