Dr Philip Sewell is the Design Framework Leader in the School of Design, Engineering & Computing, and lectures in design simulation and technology for design. His research interests include rehabilitation engineering and applications of artificial intelligence in engineering. In 2009 he was given a BU Award for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning in recognition of his development of a technology-enhanced learning strategy that included practical learning which links theory to practice and online formative and summative assessment through myBU. Dr Sewell describes his achievements that led to the nomination for the award.
