For the first time in decades, the Maryland State Police family was unable to join together in Pikesville for our annual Fallen Heroes Ceremony to honor the 43 Maryland state troopers and one deputy chief state fire marshal killed in the line of duty, as well as the two troopers killed in action during World War II. Determined to continue our tradition of remembering our fallen, Colonel Woodrow Jones III, Superintendent of the Maryland State Police, joined honor guard members at the State Police Fallen Heroes Memorial during National Police Week. We invite you to join us and the families of our fallen in a virtual ceremony to honor the sacrifices of the heroes of the Maryland State Police.
