Ingredients
500 grams Parwal
1tomato( big)
2 Green chilly
2 tsp Poppy seeds ( khuskhus)
2 tbsp coconut powder
1 tbsp mustard seeds
Handful of fried peanuts
1/2tsp of sesame seeds
1tsp of Panchforon ( Cumin, Nigella, fennel, mustard and methiseeds)
Medium
Mustard and white oil
Procedure
1) make a paste of coconut powder, poppyseeds, chilly, peanuts and mustard seeds)
2) Fry the Parwal in white oil ( you can use mustard oil also) with turmeric and salt and keep it aside. Fry 60 percent as it will get cooked again with masalas.otherwise parwals would become too soft and soggy
3)Now add 2tsp of mustard oil in the pan.
Fry the Panchforon
4) Add the masala paste along with 50 ml of water.
5) Add the tomato paste and stir well for a minute
6) Add the fried Parwal along with 1tsp of sugar
Stir well so that all the masalas get well coated on the Parwals.
7) Add 50 ml of water. Cover and cook for 5-10 minutes in medium flame.
Sprinkle some roasted sesameseeds from the top and serve with hot rice or roti.
