Sandeep Nailwal, COO and co-founder of Polygon, shares exciting projects in development using the Polygon network both in the private sector and Indian government. Scalability is one of the core problems facing the first generation of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Polygon, a layer 2 solution, sought to solve for scalability by building on top the Ethereum chain, differentiating it from currencies like Polkadot and Cardano. Nailwal walks viewers through some of the technical challenges, but also gives a peek into applications being built on the Polygon network. Most notably, the Indian government is experimenting with the network and potentially will utilize the benefits of blockchain for public health and transit systems.
