Zoos help, support, and lead the way in conservation efforts. In doing this they save species from extinction.
Animals housed in zoos have nutritionists, enrichment, round the clock medical care, and naturalistic housing (this isn't the 1940's with black bars and cement floors). They also have zookeepers who care deeply about them, their well being, and have a deep passion for conservation.
The "wild" is broken. It takes YOU and zoos working together with conservation efforts to create a safe wild for the animals to survive in.
