In today's episode, we're diving deep into another hidden gem from the heart of Italy-The Marmore Waterfalls, or as it's known in Italian, "Cascata delle Marmore".
Join us, as we explore this stunning waterfall, one of the tallest man-made waterfalls in the world, located near the town of Terni in the picturesque Umbria region.
Originally created by the ancient Romans in 271 BC, this waterfall has a fascinating history. The Romans ingeniously diverted the Velino River to prevent the surrounding marshlands near Rieti from causing deadly malaria outbreaks.
In this video, we'll not only show the breath-taking views but we will do also a hiking to the highest point from where the waterfall can be seen. Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover, or just curious about Italy's offbeat destinations, this video is for you!
