The Snow and Ice World in Harbin is one of the largest ice festivals in the world. Located in northeastern China, it features massive ice sculptures that light up at night, creating a surreal winter wonderland. The 2024 festival started in December, earlier than usual, and will continue through February, attracting thousands of visitors each year.
The park spans over 600,000 square meters, with sculptures made from ice blocks taken from nearby rivers. Temperatures can drop to -20°C, adding to the unique experience. Highlights include the giant Ferris wheel and the towering ice castle, which stands at 48 meters high. Over 10,000 workers contribute to the creation of the event, using around 180,000 cubic meters of ice.
