In 2021 the Pendle Performance team headed to the high-speed test circuit at Spain’s IDIADA Proving Ground, where a Pendle-tuned VW Amarok 3.0 V6 TDI attempted to break various UK speed records within Motorsport UK’s ‘Class D’ (2000cc to 3000cc diesel) category – records previously held by a Mercedes E300TD car.
With help from the team at Tread Ltd and Davanti Tyres, a Racelogic datalogging VBOX Touch and Tyre Temperature Monitoring sensors were installed into the pick-up truck before various high-speed tests were carried out.
Why did they install a VBOX? This is the latest industry datalogging technology from Racelogic, that creates a live data map of each individual tyre – data that can be viewed in both real-time and also after testing has been carried out. Amongst other things, it also displays GPS speed and VMAX.
This equipment allowed the team to independently verify each record attempt carried out, as it is recognised by the MSA and Guinness Book of Records as an independent testing device. You can learn more here: [ Ссылка ]
