Dermal fillers can re- volumize, contour, shape, mould and even treat scars. They are very flexible and come in all types, however the most frequently used fillers are HA fillers from the Juvederm brand. In this area my favourite filler is Juvederm Voluma or Volift.

The reason why non-surgical chin jobs are growing in popularity is the fact that Specialists never had a short-term option before fillers came along, and the only option was really the one-size-fits-all chin implant. It wasn't a customizable option and now we have the ability to mold someone's chin based off of the rest of the features on their face. This give facial harmony. I do not believe one aspect of someone’s face should standout, but every bit enhanced to give the best possible outcomes.

When patients come in to see if they're a candidate for a chin augmentation, I take a profile picture of my client and draw a line from the innermost corner of their eye, where the eyebrow begins, past their nostril, and down toward their chin. If that line continues to be straight, then their chin is proportionate to their face. If it goes inward at an angle toward their neck, then they have a recessive chin. This is where fillers come in handy. I actually don’t need to draw as my eyes are trained that way, however drawing will give the client the logic behind chin harmony in context to their facial features. This is why I call this Freestyle Filling, some patients need more fillers, some less.

In about 50% of cases I use fillers to enhance the jaw line as well. Combining devices like Ultherapy, Thermage, Coolsculpting Mini and Belkyra, this gives me the options to contour not only the chin, but the neckline as well. For the very best results I look at the whole picture, and not one aspect, as chin blend into the neck and jawline! See the logic behind rejuvenation? Lasers are science, whilst filling is an art, and combining two gives the very best results.
