Representatives of eighteen police forces have met prosecutors and the Electoral Commission today - to discuss allegations of undeclared spending by the Conservative Party in a series of elections. It follows a three month investigation by this programme. Tonight the Commission said it was now up to police to decide whether to ask the courts to extend the time limit for criminal prosecutions.
