In todays film I figure out a way to modify a Redcat GEN 8 "Reefs RC" servo Winch mount, so I can fit it to my GCM Racing "CMAX" Ladder-frame aluminum chassis. I also introduce a new servo winch that I have never used before, and then give it a good test. For those of you who are just joining in my project, welcome. This is a 1/10th scale custom build (all parts are selected by me and collected over a period of time), 4x4 Tough Truck Competition (TTC) MACHINE! I am attending an event in July of 2020, where scores of trucks like mine, and their owners meet for a 2 day event and pit our trucks against each other in a myriad of skills, and brute power challenges. The driver with the toughest truck will win, as long as they get through the events in the fastest way possible, accumulating as few points as possible. "Project Overkill" was an original build I did back in 2012. It was painted in a similar fashion, but was one of the first trail trucks to be introduced to the RC world with dually tires. This time, I am staying away form the dually tire setup - and instead have gone for a more aggressive portal axles (licensed by Currie), and 4 tire setup. My wheels are very light.. as I have learned that rotating mass can cause a lot of damage during these competitions. Remember, not all RC's need to be "expensive". There is radio control vehicles for all budgets, and all skill levels!
