Prime Minister Narendra Modi put together an international conference which was attended by the United Nations secretary general Antonio Guterres, UNICEF chief Henrietta Fore, several sanitation and health ministers from all over the world to celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary.
In order to commemorate the anniversary, the Ministry of External Affairs also put together a video of Mahatma Gandhi’s favourite hymn called ‘Vaishnava Jana To’ which was performed by singers from Maldives, Malaysia, Germany, Nauru and several other countries.
With the upcoming general elections in 2019, the PM not only wants to win the elections but also project himself as the Mahatma.
