Thanks to its use of the heavy-duty version of the VEDS, the battery-electric, double-decker Enviro400EV sets a new benchmark and was extremely efficient across all parts of the UK Bus Cycle at UTAC Millbrook – including the demanding inner-urban element.
Combined with a future-proof battery system, the 0.67 kWh/km energy consumption of the VEDS gives the Enviro400EV a stunning theoretical operating range of up to 620 km (385 miles) on a single charge.
Thus, the bus is delivering a 10 % efficiency advantage over competitors’ vehicles with comparable battery size.
