Which car gets to the finish line first?
The Brachistochrone curve is the ideal path that gives the quickest descent. But in addition, the time from any starting point on the track to the bottom of the curve turns out to be the same value, independent of where the car is released. Thus not only do the two cars reach the bottom in the least amount of time possible, they both will always reach the bottom at the same time!
