History is not an inanimate subject. It is the story of human beings: what they felt, how they acted, the dreams they nurtured, the emotions through which they passed. In THE UNTOLD CIVIL WAR, Robertson summarizes 132 little incidents in the war. Not one of them affected the outcome of the struggle, but they reveal in different ways the deep and sincere feelings that form the very foundation of the war itself.
