Actress Shobha was born on September 23, 1962 in Kerala. Sofa K. B. Menon, Prema Menon. Her parents named her Mahalakshmi Menon. She was given the name Shobha when she made her debut as a child star in cinema. Shobha has achieved unimaginable feats in her 17-year career.
Actress Shobha made her debut as a child star in the 1965 Malayalam film Jeevitha Yatra starring famous actor Prem Nasir. He was only 3 years old then. Shobha acted as a child star in several Malayalam films.
At the same time as she made her debut in Malayalam, actress Shobha acted as a child star in the Tamil film Nanal. He has acted as a child star in some Tamil films including Thattungal Akhpaduhu, Iru Kodhu, Aamiri. While acting as a child star, Shobha won the state award for a Malayalam film in 1971.
