There are many unique aspects to cardiac arrhythmia management in children and in adults with congenital heart defects. It requires an experienced team to understand the many varied conditions and provide the necessary invasive and noninvasive treatment options for this special population. We also consider the patient's overall health and treatment for other conditions, partnering closely with other cardiologists and specialists to achieve the best outcomes for these complex patients.
Our care team is also committed to pursuing much-needed clinical and basic science research in the field. Areas of particular interest at our center at Boston Children’s Hospital include inherited arrhythmia syndromes and catheter ablation in the complex anatomy of congenital heart defects.
