Mazda’s new Australia-only track-ready sports car delivers big thrills in a small package 👉Full Review: [ Ссылка ]
It’s not every day that Mazda develops an Australian-specific high-performance version of one of its vehicles. But today is one of those days – meet the Mazda MX-5 GT RS, which gets several chassis updates to make it battle ready for the racetrack.
Although Mazda hasn’t tweaked the 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, there are plenty of chassis tweaks, including more potent brakes, lighter alloy wheels, grippier tyres and extra body rigidity – all designed to ensure it won’t wilt after a few hot laps.
The new Mazda MX-5 GT RS is priced at a $3000 premium above the MX-5 GT, but is the more focussed version of the world’s best-selling sports car worth the extra cash? Find out in our video, as we put the rear-drive manual roadster through its paces on track.
