The Toyota Tundra has no mechanical locker or true limited-slip differential like its competitors, there is a feature called Auto LSD. The automatic limited-slip differential or Auto LSD system enhances traction by using the traction control system to control engine performance and braking when one of the rear wheels begins to spin. This system should be used only when wheel spinning occurs in a ditch or on a rough surface.

The system can be used on 2WD mode on 4WD models. This Auto LSD feature can be found on those Toyota vehicles :
- Toyota Tacoma
- Toyota 4Runner
- Toyota Tundra
- Toyota RAV4

Note that it doesn't replace a true mechanical locker like those found on the Chevrolet Colorado or Ford F-150!
