The Israeli nation continues to mourn the loss of its prime minister, Yitzhak Rabin, assassinated in Tel-Aviv's on Saturday night.
Israeli leaders have promised crackdowns even as the far right thanked God Yitzhak Rabin was dead.
Shimon Peres, now acting Prime Minister, has partially re-opened the Gaza Strip - closed since the assassination.
At the site of the assassination, Tel-Aviv's large Malkei Israel Square, thousands of remembrance candles burned brightly in the early hours of the morning.
Scores of Israelis continue to stop and pay their respects to the fallen leader.
Many wrote notes and signs of peace, others stood by in deep contemplation.
The streets of Jerusalem remain quiet and subdued.
Most people are still reeling from the shock of the assassination.

2. "Everybody was talking about how horrible it is and what he had done. I think the most important thing is not to lose what he had done. To keep on with what he and did, to keep going and hopefully get to peace - reach peace, have peace so we can live here without horrors like the murder and like other terrorist acts."

Israel had closed the Gaza Strip and West Bank following the assassination.
No reason was given but it was thought the country feared action by Islamic militants while the country was in mourning.
Tuesday it was partially lifted to allow Palestinians over 35 years of age to enter Israel.
Female students, and produce trucks were also allowed to enter into the West Bank - but male students remain barred.
Stepped up security measures will no doubt remain highly visible for some time.
