1st Day of Wheat Wheat Harvest 2021 & My New Combine!!! Montana

Today is the FIRST day of harvest 2021 with my new combine on our Montana farm. My Dad gave me his John Deere 9870 STS combine to drive!!! I'm so excited to upgrade to this bigger, newer combine!! There are more screens to get used to so Dad is showing me how to run it. We are picking up the wheat and testing it to see how it has done through this drought. So far the swaths look really big but there is not much grain in the heads. Dad says that we have had several really good years of harvest and not all years will be great. This year looks like it will be below for yield. I take you on a grand tour of my new John Deere combine. Dad gives me instructions and tips on how to drive this one compared to my old 9610 combine he sold. We see a hawk in the swaths. I learn to put the auger out and dump into Darcy's semi-truck. This is the real thing and not a farming simulator 19. Dad takes some really great drone footage too. I hope you enjoy my video and thank you so much for watching our Montana wheat harvest!!!

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am a 17-year-old 4th generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in north-central Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.
