EMERGENCY!! There was a break in and sadly Abby and Paco were stolen! We need your help to find Abby and Paco! Both birds were taken from Canoga Discount birds in the middle of the night! Abby is a Major Mitchell's Cockatoo and Paco is a Yellow Naped Amazon. Both parrots were extremely known and loved by everyone who came in to the store.
HOW TO HELP:
1. Even if you don't live in the Los Angeles area, share this video, IT WILL HELP!! Being on the internet, I've seen amazing connections happen here but from other areas.
2. Comb through any pages, forums, ads, posts, rescues, classifieds and anywhere that someone might try to sell a bird. you can continue to do this even months and years out. Look for specific words like Amazon and Major Mitchell's Cockatoo but don't forget, these people may not know what kind of bird they have, so also use generic titles like, parrot, bird, green bird, pink cockatoo and more, in your searches.
3. Notify your vets, bird stores, general pet stores and feed stores to be on the look out for these birds.
4. pay attention to and be on the look out for anyone you know who recently acquired a bird but may know nothing about them. These are not easily found birds these days so it would be safe to be suspicious of anyone (especially in the area) who just got a Major Mitchell's Cockatoo for example. Often, thieves take these birds out of state so don't feel far fetched by telling local stores and people not in Cali.
5. While you are on the lookout for Paco and Abby, please include my Picasso (Mustached Parakeet) in your searches and prayers. 🙏

ABBY
A Major Mitchell's Cockatoo, who loves to whistle and dance. He isn't comfortable with guys but had many fans among the bird lovers community. watch till the end of the video to hear Abby's whistle in case you hear it anywhere.
PACO
Yellow Naped Amazon who has been in the store forever and is not very friendly to many people. He is a beautiful bird that put up quite a fight. He is most likely missing tail feathers.
