This is ‘Lazarus’, designed and built by Charles Dhenin, its name is derived from being resurrected from the remains of the HPA that Guy Martin flew in his world speed attempt. [ Ссылка ]
The aircraft weighs in at about 50kg and was piloted by Niall Paterson, one time Icarus Cup winner, amateur pilot and keen cyclist.
The probe seen at the front of the aircraft has some added weight to shift the centre-of-gravity forwards to address some weight and balance issues.
The flight took place on the 29th July 2021 at the Icarus Cup, kindly hosted by Lasham Gliding Club – the home of gliding and birthplace of human powered flight.
