The eve online market is where you will buy most everything in eve. To open it look for an icon on your neocom(that bar to the left) with a "z" in it, or by pressing Ctrl+R on your keyboard.
Once you are in the Market you will see a list of categories in the left half of the window. These are the groupings of all the things for sale in your region. You can only buy things in your region of space, so if you want to buy something in another region you have to be in that region to buy it on the market.
First there are distance filters (Region, Solar system, and Station). These allow you to filter out items that are not for sale in your area of choice. Like if you choose Station, you will not see items that are only selling in another station or in a different solar system. This is a useful filter for us lazy fuckers that will spend more isk simply to save on the time of jumping to a cheaper item.
There are more filter options under the settings tab located at the top of the right subwindow. These filters are pretty self explanatory, but 2 of them are of interest to most of us. look for 2 check boxes that say "show items in lowsec space", "show items in null sec space". These filters when checked will show ALL instances of a given item for sale no matter what the security of the system they are located in. I highly recommend unchecking these 2 options. It will save you a lot of butt pain when you finally save up for that vexor and accidentally buy it 10 jumps deep in nullsec.
to buy an item simply find it in the list to the left (finding items can be a bit tuff at first as there are so many different items to sort through).
*If you can't find your item click the tab labeled "search" and type as much of the name of it as you can remember and a list will pop up of options.
Once you've found your item click on it and then to the right you will see all the locations it is located at for sale. right click a location that is suitable to you and click buy. If you forget where an item is that you recently bought you can always open your Wallet and look under the Transactions tab. Simply click Load and it will load the last 100 or so transactions. once you see the transaction you are looking for right click it and click set destination. Done
