We went to the Knuckles Mountain Range in central Sri Lanka near both Matale and Kandy. First we climbed the Mini World's End located towards the south of the mountains. It's a dramatic 1,192-metre cliff that offers sweeping views of the mountains. The trail to Mini World’s End is one of the two trails in the mountain range. It begins at the Knuckles Conservation Centre (KCC) and is approximately 1.5 kilometres in length. A permit is required but wasn't expensive. On a cloud-free day, you can make out several villages and settlements dotted below in the valleys. There aren’t any barriers at Mini World’s End, so mind your footing at all times.
