Inkscape step-by-step advanced beginner-intermediate tutorial on how to create custom minimalist map art as seen on Etsy. 1. Use OpenStreetMap to download your map data as an editable SVG file.
2. Create specific dimensions to your map and poster/ wall art border.
3. Resize the OpenStreetMap data inside of Inkscape.
4. Clean up the map using Edit -- Select Same tool in Inkscape
5. How to make the streets all the same thickness.
5. Change your map to a high contrast two-tone image.
6. Add custom selected pops of color.
7. Crop and clip map area into the desired dimensions of final product.
