Speaker 1: Today, on our 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan, we're going to be test-fitting the Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part number TC343DC.These chains have rollers wrapper around the cable here to form cross chains. What these are going to be mainly designed for is your light snow situations, so this is pretty much for more occasional use, not necessarily full-time use. They're also low-profile, so they're going to give you a nice, smooth ride in the light snow situations, and they also come equipped with their own tensioning device, as opposed to others where you would have to buy this separately.The chains have a diagonal pattern to them, which is going to give you a little bit extra stopping power during turns. These do come in a quantity of two and do also have a convenient carrying case, so once you're finished using them, you can place them in the back of your Dodge Grand Caravan and they're ready for next time.These are also SAE Class S chains, which are designed to work with vehicles with limited wheel well clearance, such as our Dodge Grand Caravan here, and they meet Department of Transportation requirements in all states.Today, we're working with tire size 225 65R17. We went ahead and laid the chain out in front of the tire like you see it here to make sure there's no kinks in the line or anything like that, and we also recommend that you wear gloves while you install this. Our first step is we're going to take this portion here, push it around the back of the tire, leaving the open end around the front of the tire.
I'd also like to point out that it is marked which side goes against the tire.Now, we can take our two ends around the backside and bring it up, and make our first connection at the top of the tire. Put that together like so and bring the chains around right up at the top there, and then go to the base. There you go. You see there's still a little bit of play here, so we get our included rubber tensioners and install those next.We'll go around hooking up our connection points here like so and with that, you want to drive a short distance, double check and make sure the tension's working properly, and then you're good to go.There you have it for the Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Cable Snow Tire Chains on our 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan.
