What is an Annual General Meeting (AGM)?
- An Annual General Meeting in short AGM, is a yearly general body meeting that is compulsory conducted by housing society as per the bye laws no. - 94. These are conducted to discuss major issues and collectively take a decision and find the best possible solution. As per the law, the AGM should be held on or before 30th September as per Section 75 (1) of the Act.
- As there is no provision for extension to hold AGM.

Things to know about AGM!
- Last Date : 30 Sep
- Period of Notice : 14 days clear notice.
- Extension : No extension ( if any extension ,Govt notification will come)
- If Failed to call AGM : Shall attract disqualification and action as provided under section 75(5) of the Act.
- Who preside over the AGM : Chairman of the society as per Bye - Law 103
- Who can attend the AGM: Members, Associate Members or Joint Member or Provisional Member.
- Voting Rights: One member One Vote as per 2019 Amendment, 154B-11.
- Mode of Notice : Hand Delivery, Dispatch through post office, Registered post or email.
- What should be sent with Notice : AGM Notice with Agenda , Balance Sheet, Income & Expenditure Statement.
- Function Of AGM : Refer Bye Law No. 95
